How it works
Your Wedding Guests are photographed upon their arrival within a designated timeframe so that they can enjoy the event while I illustrate their portrait. They’re welcome to watch the process or pick it up later—no posing required.
Wedding Guest Portrait illustrations are created using fast-drying materials and are ready to take home the same day. Each piece is packaged in a protective sleeve with a sturdy backing and hung for display for guests to retrieve. Larger weddings have the option to add a second artist from my team for more coverage.

How many illustrations can you complete during an event?
Live illustration services depend on the event, guest count, and style expectations. A single artist can complete up to 80 live portraits during an event with the fast style or 40-50 with a detailed style, with additional portraits available post-event if needed or add another or multiple artists from my team to complete more live.
⏱ Timing & Styles
Detailed Style: ~4-5 couples per hour (10 guests) includes realisitc pose, facial details, and a range of detail and value. EST 10 guests an hour A hybrid of fashion-sketches and realism
Speedy Style: 8-9 couples of 16 guests per hour focusing on elongated, fashion-inspired figures with pre-set poses with no facial details
The balance between quantity and quality is always considered so guests receive memorable keepsakes.
👥 Guest Coverage
Depending on guest list size and expectations, not all guests may be illustrated live. Typically, not everyone will request a portrait, which makes this a fun first-come, first-served experience.
📸 Post-Event Option
Additional portraits can be completed afterward from guest photos for $5 per guest, a perfect option for including illustrations with “Thank You” cards.
🎨 Artist Availability
Services can be arranged with one or two artists, depending on guest size and budget.

Speedy style guest portraits
The Speedy Fashion-Focused Portraits offer a chic, stylized alternative with elongated figures and a high-fashion flair. Guests are drawn in fast, preset, elegant poses with custom hair and attire to reflect their look of the day—without facial details. This style is designed for fun, fast-paced events where more guests can enjoy the experience. Each portrait takes just 3–4 minutes, allowing me to complete an average of 16 guests per hour or 8 couples.

My Detailed Live Guest Portraits focus on capturing each guest in a more realistic and refined style. Each illustration is personalized and crafted with care, making it a keepsake your guests can truly treasure. Because of the time and artistry involved, these portraits average about 8–10 guests per hour or 5 couples.

FAQs
What is a live guest portrait?
A live guest portrait is a quick illustration that capture the likeness and features of your guests in real time! It is a wonderful keepsake and the perfect way to interact with them and make your event memorable!
What do you charge?
My minimum fee for live wedding painting in South Florida region is $200/hr with a 4 hr minimum for weddings. This is for areas within 1 hour of Coconut Creek, FL. Live art is a luxury experience. Budget options include remote portraits done from the comfort of my studio if live art is not an affordable option.
How long does it take?
Realistic style - 10-12 mins per couple, Speedy style 6-7 mins per couple. That averages about 10 guests per hour with the realistic style and about 16 with the speedy style.
What if I want ALL of my guests illustrated?
You have options! Remember live guest portraits happens in real time therefore here are your options:
A) You can hire an additional illustrator from my team to come to the event for an increased fee. I work with several talented illustrators
B) I can complete the remaining guests at home for $5 per person. They will be mailed to the bride & groom to distribute post event. (most common)
C) You can opt for less details and have me draw more guests at your wedding
Remember, not ALL guests want a live illustration & it is an experience regardless how many people receive one.
can you add backgrounds?
Yes! I can plan a simple background that can go on all illustrations.
How far in advance should i book you?
My suggestion is at least 6 months in advance for Winter & Fall weddings. Spring and Summer at least 3 months. You never know! Your date could be booked so please inquire as soon as you get the urge.
What mediums do you use?
Typically Watercolor. Typically I use Watercolor and copic markers due to the # of guests brides request to be completed.
What do you need from the venue?
As the live event illustrator, bring my art supplies. I will require one 6 ft table and 2 chairs located out of direct sunlight and away from a DJ. I also require a vendor meal. If an assistant is present, they also require a meal.
Is this only for the guests or does the couple get one too?
The bride & groom will also receive one if a photo is taken! A post-event illustration is complimentary and includes more detail.
is this only for weddings?
NO! In fact, I have done several events such as brand awareness events, trunk shows, galas, fundraisers, and corporate events.
can i get both wedding painting & live guest portraits?
